Endlich haben wir den ersten Schritt, um das neue Land für die Hunde zu bebauen, in Gang bringen und vollziehen können. Vergangene Woche wurden ein Fahrweg und die Baufläche für die Hundeunterkünfte mit schwerer Maschine geebnet. Auch wenn weiterhin einige Spender ausfallen haben wir dennoch Glück gehabt Thomas aus Niedersachsen kennenlernen zu dürfen, der uns wirklich sehr unterstützt.

Finally we have started and completed the first step to cultivate the new land for the dogs. Last week, a road and the construction area for the dog shelters were leveled with heavy machinery. Even if some donors are still lost, we were lucky enough to get to know Thomas from Lower Saxony, who really supports us a lot.

Man kann auf dem Video (unten) erkennen wie die Landebene auf unserem Grundstück "abfällt" und warum es wirklich geebnet werden muss, bevor wir anfangen einzuzäunen geschweigedenn die Unterkünfte für die Hunde bauen zu können. Ein Fahrweg auf dem Grundstück musste ebenfalls dringend geschaffen werden, damit wir mit dem Auto die vielen Güter -die uns das Projekt abverlangt- auch mit dem Auto zum Zielort transportiert werden können. Allein über 200kg Fleisch für das Hundefutter, 500kg Maiskornschrot, 600kg Trockenfutter und Brennholz zum kochen des Hundefutters müssen monatlich bewegt werden. Dazu kommt, dass beim Bau der neuen Unterkünfte auch Materiallieferungen so nah wie möglich an die Baustelle gebracht werden müssen.

You see in the video how the land level is "sloping" on our property and why it really needs to be leveled before we can start fencing and building the dog shelters. A driveway on the property also had to be created urgently so that we could also transport the many goods that the project demands of us by car to the destination. More than 200kg of meat for the dog food, 500kg of corn grist, 600kg of dry food and firewood for cooking the dog food have to be moved every month. In addition, when building the new accommodations, supplies of materials have to be brought as close as possible to the construction site.

Vor zwei Wochen habe ich Thomas zum ersten Mal besuchen und persönlich kennenlernen können. Dank seiner großartigen Unterstützung -und natürlich auch der Unterstützung aller bisherigen Spender- konnten wir endlich beginnen das Land für den neuen Hundehof herzurichten. Was zeitlich und auch nervlich gesehen wirklich bitter nötig ist. In Thomas haben wir jemanden gefunden, der auch tatkräftig vor Ort in Brasilien gern mithelfen möchte um den Hunden ein sicheres und würdiges zu Hause zu errichten. Er hat persönliche Technik verkauft um uns eine große Finanzspritze dafür zukommen lassen zu können und engagiert sich durch seine Arbeit auch in der Hinsicht, dass er von dem Projekt "100Hunde" spricht und somit weitere Unterstützer auf uns aufmerksam macht.
Dafür einen großen und herzlichen Dank an dieser Stelle an ihn und ALLE Unterstützer des Projekts "100Hunde"!!!
Es macht uns Mut und gibt Zuversicht, dass das Zeitfenster bis zur Übernahme des alten Hundehofes durch die Stadt uns nicht auffrisst. Die allgemeinen Bedingungen weltweit spielen in letzter Zeit gegen uns, und daher ist es uns wichtig die Unterstützer wissen zu lassen, dass sie das Projekt in einer für alle sehr schwierigen Zeit sehr helfen, und wir das zu schätzen wissen. Two weeks ago I visited Thomas for the first time and got to know him personally. Thanks to his great support - and of course also the support of all previous donors - we were finally able to start preparing the land for the new kennel. Which is really badly needed in terms of time and nerves. In Thomas we have found someone who would also like to actively help on site in Brazil to build a safe and dignified home for the dogs. He sold personal technology to give us a large cash injection and through his work he is also committed to the point that he speaks of the "100Dogs" project and thus draws the attention of other supporters to us.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ich auch wirklich alle Einmal-Spender genannt habe, aber die meisten sollten dabei sein. An euch ALLE: vielen herzlichen Dank nochmal!!!
Ohne all die Unterstützung (ob groß oder klein) wären wir nicht so weit gekommen wie wir heute sind.
Es liegt noch ein harter Weg vor uns um unsere Hunde endlich auf das neue Land zu bekommen, aber endlich ist zumindest die Basis (Fahrweg und Bau-Ebene) vorhanden!
Wir wissen bzw. rechnen damit, dass sich die Weltlage für die meisten Menschen so schnell nicht verbessern wird, und dass Inflation und Kostenintensivierung uns leider alle betrifft. Durch die Hilfe meiner Eltern kann ich meine Lebenskosten hier in Deutschland weitgehend halten, da meine Mutter mir oft bei ihren Wocheneinkäufen das ein oder andere mitbringt und sponsort. Durch die Umschulung die ich grad mache erhalte ich einen Monatslohn von ca. 1800,-€ netto, von dem man in Deutschland zwar ganz gut leben könnte, aber der nicht ausreicht für den Hundehof in unserer Situation, und um diesen komplett neu aufzubauen auf unserem eigenen Grundstück.
Was unsere Politiker hinsichtlich der "Sparmaßnahmen" momentan von uns allen verlangen, ist für mich nichts neues, da ich (um Geld zu sparen) generell kaum Licht in meiner Wohnung angeschalten habe und ich an allen Ecken spare wo es nur geht.
Es ist genauso beeindruckend gewesen für mich zu spüren auf was man eigentlich alles verzichten kann um Geld zu sparen für eine gute Sache, wie es bedrückend ist an dem Punkt anzukommen an dem man nicht noch mehr verzichten und mehr sparen kann. Wir hoffen dennoch auf weitere Unterstützung und arbeiten uns Schritt für Schritt vor bis zu dem Tag, an dem die Hunde, Katzen und Hühner auf unserem Hundehof bald auf dem neuen Land in Sicherheit sind!

I don't know if I really named all the one-time donors, but most of them should be there. To all of you: thank you very much again!!! Without all the support (big and small) we wouldn't have gotten as far as we are today.
There is still a hard way ahead of us to finally get our dogs onto the new land, but at least the basis (driveway and construction level) is in place! We know or expect that the world situation will not improve any time soon for most people and that inflation and rising costs unfortunately affect us all.
With the help of my parents, I can largely cover my living expenses here in Germany, since my mother often brings me one or two things from her weekly shopping and sponsors them. Due to the retraining that I am doing right now, I receive a monthly wage of about €1800 net, which you can live on quite well in Germany, but which is not enough for the dog yard in our situation, and to build it up from scratch on our piece of land.
What our politicians are currently demanding from all of us in terms of "austerity measures" is nothing new to me, since I generally have hardly any lights on in my apartment (to save money) and I save wherever I can.
It was just as impressive for me to feel what you can actually do without to save money for a good cause, as it is depressing to get to the point where you can't do without more and save more. Nevertheless, we hope for further support and are working our way step by step until the day when the dogs, cats and chickens on our dog farm will soon be safe on the new land!

(Video 15. August 2022: Onça, Struppi und Lampiâo - Onça, Struppi and Lampiâo)
Onça (ganz links) ist eine ältere Dame auf dem Hof, wobei Lampiâo (rechts) ein Kind von Magrela ist, sie brachte ihre Kinder zur Welt kurz bevor ich das erste Mal in Brasilien war. Auch Struppi, der sich hier in die Mitte drängelt, ist ein Kind der kürzlich verstorbenen Barriguda. Sie haben es alle so sehr verdient endlich das neue Land zu sehen, in Sicherheit zu sein.

Onça (left) is an elderly lady in our sanctuary, while Lampiâo (right) is a child of Magrela, she gave birth to her children just before I was in Brazil for the first time. Struppi, who pushes his way into the middle here, is also a child of the recently deceased Barriguda. They all deserve so much to finally see the new country, to be safe.
