Nach mehreren Tagen in der Obhut der Tierärztin ist Guerreira nun endlich wieder auf unserem Hof. Ihr geht es den Umständen entsprechend gut und sie frisst wieder einigermaßen normal.

After several days in the care of the vet, Guerreira is finally back on our farm. According to the circumstances, she is doing well and is eating reasonably normally again.
Wir hoffen ständig, dass solche Zwischenfälle nicht mehr passieren, und wir das gesparte und gespendete Geld endlich in das neue Stück Land investieren und bald dorthin umsiedeln können. Es wäre eine sehr große Veränderung unserer Umstände, und für die Hunde. Immer wieder werfen uns die Kosten, die durch die Lage und Umstände auf dem aktuellen Hundehof anfallen, zurück in unserer Planung bzw. der Umsetzung. Wir werden nicht aufgeben, auch wenn es oft aussichtslos erscheint, doch fällt es einem oft nicht leicht zu glauben, dass nur ein Wunder uns aus dieser Situation holen kann.

We constantly hope that such incidents will no longer happen and that we will finally be able to invest the money saved and donated in the new piece of land and will soon be able to relocate there. It would be a very big change in our circumstances and for the dogs. Again and again, the costs that arise due to the location and circumstances at the current dog farm throw us back in our planning and implementation. We will not give up, even if it often seems hopeless, but it is often not easy to believe that only a miracle can get us out of this situation.
Guerreira´s Operations-Wunde muss nun noch einige Zeit gepflegt werden um Entzündungen zu vermeiden. Das klingt erstmal nicht schwierig, aber da wieder einmal die Wasserversorgung zusammengebrochen ist, fallen so "kleine" Aufgaben wie Krankenpflege immer wieder aufwändiger aus als es scheint. Auch beim normalen Tagesablauf auf dem Hof ist so etwas schwierig für nur zwei Menschen, die sich um knapp 90 Hunde kümmern müssen.

Guerreira's surgical wound now has to be tended for some time to avoid inflammation. That doesn't sound difficult at first, but since the water supply has collapsed again, such "small" tasks as nursing are always more time-consuming than it seems. Even with the normal daily routine on the farm, something like this is difficult for just two people who have to look after almost 90 dogs.
