Meninâo geht es seit 2 Tagen sehr schlecht und wir müssen ihn zum Veterenär bringen. Der wochenlange Regen und die immer schlechter werdenden Umstände auf unserem Hof fordern ihren Tribut. Durch die Regenfälle treibt es immer viele unterschiedliche Gefahren und Tiere auf unseren Hof, der auf einem Hügel liegt und somit Schlangen, giftigen Spinnen und vielen Ratten (von der illegalen Müllhalde vor unserem Hof) Schutz bietet.

Meninâo has been very bad since 2 days and we have to take him to the vet. The weeks of rain and the worsening circumstances on our farm are taking their tolls. The constant rain always brings a lot of different dangers and animals to our farm, which is located on a hill and thus offers safe spots to snakes, poisonous spiders and many rats (from the illegal dump in front of our farm).

Wir sind froh, dass es Barriguda zumindest wieder besser geht und sie wieder laufen, normal essen und trinken kann. Doch wir kommen momentan vom Regen in die Traufe. Zu all dem kommt noch dazu, dass ich die letzten Tage/Wochen den Neubau geplant habe, und die Pläne für das Fundament im neuen Hof im Alleingang, aber mit etwas Unterstützung in Form von Rat und Ideen von Freunden, erarbeitet habe.
Auch die Kosten dafür muss ich grad irgendwie zusammensparen. Zeitgleich bin ich seit Mitte Dezember auf Arbeitsuche, erfrage die Regularien für die Einreise in Brasilien, plane die Flüge, um in diesem Halbjahr wenigstens das Fundament auf dem neuen Hof fertigstellen zu können. Wenn das passieren sollte, gibt es zwangsweise einen Baustopp, bis das Geld für die nächsten baulichen Massnahmen zusammengespart ist.

We are glad that Barriguda is at least doing better and that she can walk, eat and drink normally again. But with Meninâos issue we are currently going from bad to worse. In addition to all this, I have been planning the new building for the last few days/weeks and have worked out the plans for the foundation in the new dog yard on my own, but with some advice and ideas from friends.
By side I need to save up the costs for all this somehow. At the same time I've been looking for work since mid-December, asking about the regulations for entering Brazil, planning the flights so that I can at least finish the foundation on the new farm in the first half of the year. If that should happen, there will be a forced halt to construction until the money for the next construction modul has been saved.

Meninâo scheint eventuell dasselbe Problem zu haben wie Barriguda vor einigen Wochen, und wir hoffen, dass Meninâo schnell auch wieder so gut auf die Beine kommt wie Barriguda. Er hat sichtlich stark abgenommen in den letzten Tagen und wir machen uns Sorgen. Sorgen, die zu all den anderen Sorgen die wir bereits haben dazu kommen. Meninâo isst und trinkt zwar, aber er erbricht es wieder. Er gibt klagende Laute von sich und ist schlapp, kann sich kaum noch bewegen. In solchen Fällen ist es schwer zu sagen woher es kommt, ohne eine Blutuntersuchung vom Veterenär. Es könnte ein Nierenleiden sein wie bei Barriguda, es könnte ein Biss von einer Spinne oder Schlange sein, es könnten Krankheiten sein, die von Ratten und ihren Hinterlassenschaften stammen.

Meninâo may seem to be having the same problem as Barriguda a few weeks ago, and we hope Meninâo gets back on its feet as well as Barriguda did soon. He has visibly lost a lot of weight in the last few days and we are concerned. Worries that add to all the other worries we already have. Meninâo eats and drinks, but throws it up again. He makes plaintive noises and is limp, can hardly move. In such cases, it's hard to tell where it's coming from without a blood test from the vet. It could be kidney disease like Barriguda, it could be a bite from a spider or snake, it could be diseases that come from rats and their droppings.

Wir hoffen, dass Meninâo wieder gesund wird, und er sowie alle anderen Hunde auf unserem Hof, das neue Stück Land, und die neuen Unterkünfte dort sehen und erleben dürfen. Es ist noch ein langer, steiniger, verregneter Weg. Aber ohne diesen Weg gäbe es weder Hoffnung für die Hunde, noch für uns.
Ich habe weiterhin um Hilfe gebeten, in sämtliche Richtungen nach Unterstützung gefragt, doch in den meisten Fällen gibt es leider keine Unterstützung.
Ich werde die Baupläne für das Fundament zeitnah in einem Blog hier posten, damit die Menschen die daran interessiert sind eine ungefähre Vorstellung von dem bekommen können, was wir genau tun wollen, in welchem preislichen Rahmen wir uns ungefähr bewegen, und wie wir das alles schaffen wollen.
Doch eins ist schon klar, ohne eure Hilfe und Unterstützung können wir es kaum schaffen! Auch hier nochmal ein großes Dankeschön an alle bisherigen Unterstützer und Spender!!!

We hope that Meninâo will get well again and that he and all the other dogs on our farm will be able to see and experience the new piece of land and the new accommodations there. It's still a long, rocky, rainy path but without this path there would be no hope for the dogs, nor for us. I have kept asking for help, asking for support in all directions, but unfortunately in most cases there is no support. I'll be posting the foundation blueprints in a blog soon so people who are interested can get a rough idea of what we're about to do, roughly what the price range is, and how we're going to do all this. But one thing is already clear, without your help and support we can hardly do it! Again, a big thank you to all previous supporters and donors!!!
